What We Collect
- Email address — collected through Google sign-in (OAuth) via Supabase for authentication.
- Usage data — passages read, word taps, and mastery progress. This powers your progress tracking and training modes.
- Payments — processed through Stripe. We do not store your card information.
- AI interactions — reading text sent to the Anthropic API for Pro features (simplification, definitions, summaries). These interactions are not stored by Clarity.

- Track your word mastery and reading progress
- Process subscription payments
- Improve our product based on aggregate usage patterns
We do not sell your data. We do not run ads. We do not share your reading history with third parties.

Children's Privacy
Clarity is designed for readers of all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without parental consent. If you believe a child has provided us data without consent, contact us and we will remove it promptly.
Your Rights
- Access — request a copy of your data
- Delete — request deletion of your account and all associated data
- Export — request an export of your reading and mastery data
- Cancel — cancel your subscription anytime from account settings

Data Retention
We retain your data for the duration of your active account. If you delete your account, all personal data — including reading history, mastery progress, and account information — will be removed within 30 days.
